Dr. med. Nikolaus Buchmann

As a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology, I specialize in the early detection and aftercare of cardiovascular diseases.
I am a certified expert in lipid metabolism (DGFF), high blood pressure (DGH) and nutritional medicine (DGEM) at the renowned German Heart Center at Charité's Benjamin Franklin site. In my daily work, I focus on the effective risk assessment and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.I am particularly interested in the use of laboratory chemical and imaging methods for the early detection of cardiovascular diseases.
My research activities include the topic of body composition, particularly with regard to metabolic diseases and metabolic health.

Nikolaus Buchmann heads the study center of the FS-CPC and is involved in the research module clinical diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases.
